Abstract

A beginner-friendly book on watercolor painting techniques. It introduces natural landscapes, which every watercolorist would like to try, starting from how to paint motifs. All the steps are carefully followed with photographs and explained with easy explanations and key points. The essential motifs for painting landscapes, such as trees and rocks, are introduced individually, making it easy for even first-time painters to learn the techniques. The book also includes a detailed lecture on how to paint a single large piece of artwork.

Born in Tokyo in 1949. Member of Japan Artists League. Member of Japan Watercolor Society (JWS). Received many awards including "Honorable Mention" at the 6th Ningen Hymn Grand Prize Exhibition, "Honorable Mention" at Splash17 in the U.S. in 2015, and "Invited Participant" at the International Watercolor Exhibition in Taiwan.
