Author’s Information
Tomo Matsu was born in Tokyo 1953. After graduating from Sophia University, he worked as a chief editor of children's books. In 1998, he went to Mindanao, Fillipins. In 2002, he established "Mindanao Children's Library(MCL)". He has engaged in second chance program and medical support. In MCL, there are about 100 children who lost their parents or suffer from extreme povverty. In 2012, he became a chief of Manobo tribe. His father, Tadashi Matsui was the first chief editor of FUKUINKAN SHOTEN Publishing,inc./Bong Perez was born in Mindanao 1970. In 1991, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting. In 1998, he was offered a scholarship from Japanese government and went Japan. After he received his Ph.D. in Japan, he went back to the Philippines and taught at the university. He won first prizes from local and regional art competitions in the Philippines. He has also had private exhibitions in various parts f Japana. In 2001, his work was adopted as the design of book cover in Australia.
