Abstract

Two wills left by business tycoon Saidaiji calls together family members to a weird shaped manor built on an isolated island off the coast of Okayama. As a hurricane approaches, the island is cut off from the mainland, and during the storm one of the family is found brutally murdered although no one can figure out how and why the murder was done. A private detective and a young lawyer of the family take it on themselves to solve the mystery and find themselves unearthing a dark secret concealed by the family for twenty-three years, as well as an amazing mystery hidden inside the manor itself. Readers are faced with an astounding and entertaining puzzle within this new full length honkaku-mystery by Honya Taisho Award winner and multi-million bestselling author, Tokuya Higashigawa.
