Abstract
The low-ranking samurai of the Edo period do not appear in TV dramas or historical novels. This book focuses on their daily lives. What was their salary structure like, when did they go to the castle, how long did they work, and what kind of work did they do? Did they ever get a day off? How did he deal with his boss, whom he disliked? Were ronin, in other words, dismissed warriors? How did they live afterwards? What were the chances of finding a new job? There are so many questions that we would like to ask them in the context of today's salaried workers. The second volume of the highly popular "Warring States Manners of war" (published by G.B.), this time also reveals these astonishing facts with light and witty writing and illustrations. The book is supervised by Mr. Tetsuo Owada, well-known for his work on NHK's historical dramas.
