Author’s Information

Yukio Noguchi
Yukio Noguchi was born in Tokyo in 1940.
Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1963 and entered the Ministry of Finance in 1964.
D. in economics from Yale University in 1972. After serving as a professor at Hitotsubashi University, a professor at the University of Tokyo (director of the Center for Advanced Economic Engineering Research), visiting professor at Stanford University, and a professor at the Graduate School of Finance, Waseda University, he is now professor emeritus at Hitotsubashi University. His major is Japanese economic theory. His recent publications include "The Day Japan Dropped Out of the Developed World" (President, Okakura Tenshin Prize) and many others.
