Author’s Information

Masaki Sato
Corporate training instructor and lecturer. He was born in 1975. After graduating from university, he became a freelancer because he could not get a single job offer. On his 23rd birthday, he decided to join the Shiki Theatre Company and was accepted at 27. During his five years of training, until he was born at the age of 27, he overcame his extreme shyness through numerous part-time jobs such as distributing flyers, making telephone appointments, working as a cell phone salesman, and working in the nightlife district of Ginza. In the Shiki Theater Company, he appeared in "The Lion King" and other productions, and in his eighth year with the company, he was thrust into the spotlight as the lead in "The Cat Who Wanted to Be Human. During that time, he learned directly from the charismatic Keita Asari, founder of the Shiki Theater Company, the essence of "words that communicate" in a one-on-one session. He later left the company intending to become a lecturer but was completely unable to make ends meet, so he started working for a dive sales company with zero business experience. However, by utilizing the "words that communicate" that he learned from Keita Asari and the "art of speaking that attracts people" he developed himself, he was ranked second among nearly 500 employees for making a significant contribution to the company. His special lectures, based on his unique experience, have spread nationwide by word of mouth, and many people, including executives, business leaders, salespeople, and customer service personnel, have achieved results after attending his lectures. Currently, he travels throughout Japan for corporate training and lectures, teaching "how to speak in a way that attracts people" to more than 30,000 businesspeople from about 300 companies. He contributes to the improvement of communication, communication skills, and self-expression. He has also participated in TEDx, the hall of fame for presentation events, and his talk on "How to Speak in a Way that Creates Impression" based on "How to Speak in a Way that Attracts People" has been viewed more than 350,000 times, an unprecedented number for a Japanese speaker.
