Abstract

A woman who wants to break up with her violent boyfriend (episode: "I Can Lend a Thieving Cat"). A boyfriend who has been taken by a greedy friend who wants everything that belongs to others, and wants to break them up (episode "Beware of the Myna Bird"). Women in various situations and in distress are confronted with a dubious advertisement that reads, "I will steal your boyfriend for You". This is a series of six mysteries depicting the deftness and exploits of Hinako Minami, a.k.a. "the Thieving Cat," who robs men at request.

Author’s Information

Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1964. Graduated from Bachleor of Philosophy at Hiroshima University. In 1994, she won the 4th JUMP Novel and Nonfiction Grand Prize for "ZERO" and debuted under the name of Jun Eishima, working on game novelizations and original manga works. Then, under the name of "Emi Nagashima," she wrote suspense and mystery novels. In 2016, she won the 69th Mystery Writers Association of Japan Award in the short story category for "Baba-nuki" (included in "Anthology: Throwing Away").
