Abstract

For you love cats but have a problem

As indoor cat keeping becomes more common, more and more owners are suffering from problematic behaviour in their cats. In recent years, as the relationship between cats and humans has become more intimate, urine spraying, fights between cats and attacks by cats on their owners have been reported more frequently. Cat problem behaviour is often thought to be less serious than dog problem behaviour, but in some cases it can be disruptive to the owner's life. Understanding cats' natural behaviour, responding to their needs and instincts and creating a rich living environment that satisfies them can provide clues to preventing and solving cat problem behaviour. This book provides easy-to-understand explanations of common cat problem behaviours, the causes of problem behaviours and countermeasures, using real-life examples.
