Abstract

Unprecedented. Cat living with prosthetic legs on both paws

The veterinarian make me select "euthanasia" or "amputation from both shoulders," and "I," the owner, was distressed. I will never let Chibita die. This is a miraculous story of a small dog with a huge life force.

Author’s Information

Lives in Gifu Prefecture. Her blog, (http://nekokichij.exblog.jp/) has attracted much attention. She was a 24-hour-a-day caregiver for Chibita, even quitting her job at one point and falling ill due to lack of sleep. After working through trial and error to create her own prosthetic limbs, Chibita is able to do more and more things on her own as the days go by. She now lives with her five cats, including Chibita, while opening an esthetic salon at home.
