Abstract
An embroidery book featuring a Japanese motif. Chapters are divided into four seasons. This book shows life-size embroidery designs and the works using with the designs on wide spread. The original illustrations are drawn by Yoko Ganaha, a popular illustrator. The embroidery artist is Hisako Nishisu, a director of the Japan Art Craft Association.
The layout is very simple to understand easily for even beginners, and they can try to make all embroideries, which are used 1 to 3 colors, and the applied works are completed with ready-made aprons, stoles, handkerchiefs, etc,. You will surely think, "I can make this!". All of the 10 embroidery patterns on this book are made by only a few processes, each having step-by-step photos.

Spring/ Cherry blossoms, Swallow, Dandelion, Thistle, Horsetail
Summer/ Hydrangea, Ground cherry, Goldfish, Asiatic dayflower, Killifish, Cloud and dragon
Autumn/ Chrysanthemum, Autumn leaves, Mushroom, Nuts, Dianthus, Great burnet
Winter ・Early spring /Camellia, Yukinowa(Japanese traditional pattern shaped like snow), Heavenly bamboo, Dharma(Japanese traditional figurine), Mt. Fuji etc.
