Shigeru Kashima
Professor of French Literature at Meiji University. He is a professor at Meiji University, specializing in 19th-century French literature. Born in Yokohama in 1949, he graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in French literature. He received his doctorate in 1978 from the Graduate School of Humanities at the same university. He is currently a professor at the School of Global Japanese Studies at Meiji University. He has received numerous awards, including the Yomiuri Literary Award for Criticism and Biography for his book Parisian Customs by Profession (Hakusuisha). He has a vast collection of old books and opened a study studio, "NOEMA images STUDIO" in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Shoichi Inoue
He was born in Kyoto in 1955. Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University, and completed the master's course at the same university. After working as an assistant professor at the Institute for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University, he is currently a professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies. In addition to his specialty in architectural history and design theory, his research covers a wide range of topics, including Japanese culture, Kansai culture, and beauty theory. He won the New Book Award for "Kyoto Girai" (Asahi Shinsho) 2016.
