Abstract

Seylan is a village girl working as a maid and a daily-paid sister at a small village church.
One day, she is suddenly visited by a debt collector who was set up by her missing father.
Seylan, at a loss for what to do to protect her family, jumps at the offer, but it turns out to be a job in which she is to serve as a "saint's substitute" on pilgrimages while hiding her face.
