Abstract

The power of the nation continues to decline, surveillance drones are flying around, and the sense of Japan's impending doom is only growing. Rito, a junior high school girl, her mother and younger brother, and the Iriya family, who are living tough in this society, meet a "Kazaana" descendant who has a mysterious power to communicate with nature, such as stones and insects. The Iriya family and Kazaana make everyone they come in contact with smile a little, starting with their eldest son, Saku, who is not attending school, his classmates who are acting strangely, and a city official who is struggling with his job responsibilities. Eventually, they come into contact with the mysterious guerrilla organization Nutria, and the turmoil eventually transcends national borders.
This work marks the 30th anniversary of Eto Mori's career as a writer. The world of this overwhelming story that transcends time and space will fill you with courage and bring a smile to your face as you read it. A 100% pure entertainment novel and a happy fairy tale of the REIWA era.
