Abstract

It is said that people had around 4500 of fireworks festival in summer in Japan. This book introduces kinds, size, features, standards, and trends of Japanese fireworks with gorgeous photographs.

Author’s Information

Kazuma Saeki, born in Tsuruoka city in Yamagata prefecture, is known as 'Hanabist' with a licence of fireworks expert. After he worked as a photojournalist, he has recodrded fireworks around the world and investigated its history and culture.
He thinks much of still photographs and express percistence with reality without multiple exposure. He has visited 2000 festivals until 2002 (more than 1200 now). He explains various fireworks around the world with his photos.
