The Sonobe-style unit is said to be the simplest and most superior. No string or glue is used for assembly. It is easy to fold, but there are certain rules for assembly and colour schemes. The illustrations and photographs in this book are designed to help those who have never been able to assemble a Sonobe unit because they don't understand these rules.

Author’s Information

Born 1949. Encountered 'stacked boxes' as a primary school pupil. Worked as an instructor at a childcare centre for schoolchildren for 20 years. During this time, he encountered the Sonobe unit and started creating units. After retiring, he set up the website 'Play and Learning Yuyusha', which provides comprehensive information on children's play.
