Abstract

Based on "Sutta Nipata," a text that faithfully conveys the words of Buddha to the modern world, a respected elder from the Sri Lankan Buddhist community elucidates the essence of Theravada Buddhism. This book tackles how to instantly extinguish 'anger,' as potent as a snake's venom, and completely uproot 'desire,' as vigorous as the life force of a lotus. Through interpreting the 17 verses encapsulated in the "Snake Chapter," the book illuminates the path to enlightenment.
