The term "white deer" refers to a white-haired child who is born in a race that lives along with the wolves. Ilwes is a soldier who comes across a white deer with golden eyes in a village. The white deer isn't even capable of talking, but Ilwes names him "Alta" and brings him back to the capital city. Alta slowly warms up to Ilwes and Ilwes begins to wish for his happiness, but white deers have been destined to become the mates of the royal family since generations ago. This is a love story that begins with a single ray of light, between a soldier and a boy that people refer to as a white deer.
