Abstract

The protagonist, a writer who calls himself "Sesuji," is working on an occult magazine with his friend and editor, Ozawa. The two hypothesize that a certain place in the Kinki region may be involved in some eerie ghost stories, and they proceed with their investigations. One day, however, Ozawa disappeared, leaving behind a message that he was going there. In order to solicit eyewitness information on the missing Ozawa, Sesuji took quotes and excerpts from various media, mainly magazine articles--weekly reports on the girl's disappearance, scary stories posted on anonymous Internet bulletin boards, letters from strange readers, etc.--and compiled them into a book titled "About a Place in the Kinki Region”. Sesuji starts to post on the Web, calling for the provision of information. However, these ghost stories and a certain place in the Kinki region hide a frightening fact...
