Abstract
A murderer and a father whose daughter was killed. Before the execution, a life-threatening dialogue begins.
The man who killed my daughter is right in front of me. With a shabby attitude that shows not the slightest sign of atonement or remorse.
Sosuke Hosaka, who lives in Tokyo, had his daughter killed by an assailant. The killer slaughtered four people, including his pregnant daughter. He smiled broadly when he was sentenced to death, saying, "Thank you." Sosuke, a pastor, seeks a way to meet the murderer as a chaplain who offers spiritual salvation to prisoners. He has been praying for people to be saved, but now he wants to throw the criminal into hell. Sosuke is in agony, but the murderer has not a shred of guilt. As the day of execution looms, the two begin a dialogue. This is a new achievement of Gaku Yakumaru, a writer of profound human dramas, who approaches the darkness of murder without motive.
