Born in Kyoto City in 1959. Graduated from Kyoto University of Education. Completed the doctoral course at the Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University. PhD (Energy Science). Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Tokyo University of Science. Director of Space LABO, Kitakyushu Science Museum (concurrent position). Served as a teacher at Kyoto University of Education High School and an assistant professor at Shinshu University Faculty of Education before assuming his current position. Specializes in science education, STEAM education, and science communication. Has received numerous awards for his inventions in science and technology. Published many books, including "Physics Becomes Fun! Character Encyclopedia" (Shinsei Publishing).
