Abstract

This is an illustrated book that introduces gemstones and similar natural stones and minerals. It introduces 200 types of gemstones, from typical gemstones such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds to relatively inexpensive natural stones and minerals used as power stones, with beautiful visuals and easy-to-understand explanations. The most distinctive feature is the beautiful and abundant photos. (As an aside, gemstones actually have a correct orientation, which is often ignored in general books. This book firmly grasps this point, so even professionals will be convinced by the visuals.) And to make it more practical, the explanations of each stone include information that is useful when actually obtaining them or using them as jewelry, such as "what kind of stone is valuable" and "what to be careful of when wearing it." At the end of the book, there is a beautiful and top-quality gravure of raw stones that mineral fans will drool over.
