Born in Mie Prefecture, she won the excellent "Zainin izukunika" (2008) at the Bara no Machi Fukuyama Mystery Literature Newcomer's Award selected by Shoji Shimada. The following year, she changed the title of the same work to "Shojo-tachi no Rashinban (Girls' Compass)" and made her debut. In 2014, she was nominated for the 67th Japan Mystery Writers Association Award in the short story category for "Godome no Haru no Hiyoko (The Fifth Spring Chick). She is the author of many books, including "Lunch Detective," Syaroushi no Hinako" series, "Zenjin to Tenbin to Satsuzin to," "Ore to Ore," "Nozomi-kun, Come Here," and many others.
