Author’s Information

Born in Tokyo in 1977 and raised in Saitama. After graduating from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies with a degree in Spanish, she studied abroad in the UK and discovered the joy of illustration through an auditing program at the University of Westminster. 2006 graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London with a degree in graphic design. In 2012, she won the Book Prize in the Napa Gallery Flipbook Competition in Helsinki, Finland. In 2011, she met Mashimaro who appears in this work. She was impressed by the unique, tough, yet charming, lovable white cat, and created this work to spread its loveliness to the world.
