Abstract

This picture book is based on a text written by the author, who was waiting in the waiting room when her child was born, in a state of anticipation and anxiety, as if she were gently placing the text in a bottle so that the memories and smells of growth would not disappear. Shortly after my child was born, I found out that he had a hearing impairment. I thought, "If he can't hear, maybe I can communicate with him through pictures and sentences," and made this book into a picture book. I hope that this picture book will gently reach out to the heart of each and every one of you.

Author’s Information

Born in 1989, she joined "Nakagawa Creative Ehon School" at the age of 24, wanting to be involved in children's books, and has been working there ever since. While creating picture books, commercial illustrations, etc., she conducts workshops and other events throughout Japan, and since 2018 has served as a board member of Hidamari no Oka, a non-profit organization. She has been working on art projects for children and parents in the field of education from childcare. Lives in Meito Ward, Nagoya City. Father of two children.
