High school student Mahiru Asaoka, who is good at cooking, begins to live in an acquaintance's house after his father was assigned to work overseas.
That acquaintance is none other than Yoruko Kitagawa, an indifferent and stoic novelist.
Mahiru soon finds himself in a series of battles to make Yoruko, who barely eats anything, eat his homemade meals!

This is a story of two awkward people with an age difference as they get closer.
