Author’s Information
Born in 1971. After graduating from a U.S. university, he worked for a Tokyo-based trading company before founding his own trading company in 1997 at the age of 26. In 2004, he began investing in real estate, and within four years had built up a portfolio of 7 buildings, 72 households, and annual sales of 50 million yen, with a gross profit margin of 60%. His book, "Buy an Apartment First!" is now in its 27th printing, and is a longtime seller. In 2012, he started investing in real estate in the U.S. with funds from rents and some sales. In 2014, he obtained U.S. permanent resident status and moved his base to California. Currently, he owns 43 households in Japan and 6 houses in the US. In addition to his current job and home rental business, he also writes and trains investors. In 2017 he obtained his "California Certified Real Estate Transaction License". He specializes in methods of acquiring high-yielding properties with little capital and achieving stable, high occupancy.
