Abstract

There are approximately 200 countries in the world, including countries that are not recognized by the Japanese government. In this book, illustrator Mitsuru Ito, who is very popular with elementary school students, has created characters from 40 of the main countries. We will introduce major products, tourist attractions, their relationship with Japan, famous people from Japan, etc. with fun illustrations and easy-to-understand explanations. Author’s Information

Gaichi Ito
Born in 1972 in Kyoto Prefecture. After graduating from Hosei University's Faculty of Letters, at the age of 43, he re-entered Waseda University's Faculty of Education and is currently enrolled there. After attending Toshin High School, he currently teaches 7 subjects at the online preparatory school ``Study Sapuri'' (managed by Recruit Co., Ltd.): high school Japanese history, ethics, political economy, modern society, and junior high school geography, history, and civics. A social studies instructor with a large number of students.”

Mitsuru Ito
He has written many books. After working as an advertising designer, he became an illustrator. The characters are popular for their "loose and comical'' feel in a heartwarming atmosphere.
