It narrates his tumultuous life, the transition of his philosophical establishment, the significance of the construction of Koyasan Kongobuji Temple, and the mainstream of Japanese esoteric Buddhism, all in a uniquely ingenious and rhythmical style.

Hirai Yuukei
Born in Tokyo in 1943. Completed his doctoral program at Taisho University. He is an honorary professor of Taisho University and the head priest of Jousen-in of the Shingon sect, Toyama school. His publications include "Buddhism Goes along the Silk Road" (Daito Publishing), "Learning from the Kukai Shoryoshu" (Daihorinkaku), and "Guide to Temple Visiting for Beginners" (co-authored, Gentosha).
