Abstract
This book, written when the author first began working as a Buddhist critic, offers a sharp and contemporary perspective. The book focuses on Jizo, a familiar figure in the mindscape of the Japanese people. It discusses how the Japanese, living in the 'Saha' world, a world without Buddhism, should live as Buddhists.
