Abstract
The Toyama book is written from an academic perspective by authors mainly faculty members at the University of Toyama, aimed at general citizens, university students, and high school students who are interested in the local area.
Chapter 1 deals with the natural environment of the Tateyama Mountain Range and Toyama Bay, disasters, and industry, Chapter 2 covers the history of the Manyo and Kaga domain rule, and the origins of industries such as Etchu medicine, and Chapter 3 covers dialects. In Chapter 4, we discuss railways, which are the core of compact town planning, efforts to create bustle in town, and the development of the tourism industry.
