Author’s Information
Wimala Inoue
Born in 1959 in Yamanashi Prefecture. Quitted of the Faculty of Literature at Kyoto University. Trained in Vipassana meditation and scriptural studies in Burma and then taught meditation in Canada, the UK, and the US. After returning the monastic life and coming back to Japan, she has been pioneering the path of handing down the essence of meditation in education, welfare, and medical settings. Her works include "Meditation Lessons to Open the Heart" (published by Dharma Wheel Hall), "Exercises to Feel the Breath" (published by Iwanami Active Shinsho). Her translations include "Healing Through Breath," "Easy Introduction to Vipassana Meditation" (published by Shunjusha), "Buddha's Science: Brain Physiology Opens Up Meditative Brain" (published by Kosei Publishing) and others.
