Fumio Masutani
Born in 1902 in Kokura, Kitakyushu City. Graduated from the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo in 1925. Served in various roles such as lecturer at the Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo, professor at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, professor at Taisho University, and president of Tsuru University. Passed away in 1987. His many works include "Buddha's Era," "Buddha," "Buddhist Scriptures Based on the Agama Sutras," "A Hundred Stories of Buddhism," "Fumio Masutani's Works" (12 volumes in total), and others.
