Author’s Information

Born in Miyagi Prefecture in 1964. She made her literary debut with “Kochusho” in 2005, which won The 32nd Mephisto Award. In 2015, she became a nominee for The 28th Shugoro Yamamoto Prize with “Jinsei Soudan,” and the same year “Gonin no Junko” was adopted into a TV drama for WOWOW channel (starring Yasuko Matsuyuki). Her other works include “Hatsukoi Sagashi” and “Sanbiki no Kobuta.”​
Because she often depicts the dark side of the human desires that makes the readers feel so uncomfortable, she has earned the nickname of “Queen of Iyamisu” (Queen of the Creepy Mystery).​
