Abstract

At age 10, Shinobu moves from the countryside to his great-grandmother's house in Tokyo to train as a ninja. In his new school, he mustn't let anyone know he's a ninja, but his ninja habits inadvertently reveal themselves, leading to daily reflections. Then, one day, his friend Anri's colored pencils go missing. Shinobu secretly begins to search for the culprit... This is a coming-of-age story of Shinobu, as he begins to understand the importance of 'other people's feelings', something he never realized while surrounded by fellow ninjas.
