Abstract

The Vespa P/PX series is the final hand-shift large body Vespa model. We will explain in detail the daily maintenance that is essential to keep this P/PX series in good condition and continue to use it for a long time, as well as maintenance methods to repair malfunctions of various parts due to breakdowns, along with a huge number of process photos. The model used in this explanation is the PX200BME, but it can also be applied to the previous P series and subsequent PX series, which have almost the same basic structure. Front disc brake maintenance is explained based on a separately prepared disc brake model. The P/PX series is distributed in huge numbers around the world and has many fans all over the world, and there is no shortage of parts available through shops in Japan and overseas, so maintenance, overhaul, and restoration are possible. Please use this book as a reference. *We do not mention body panel replacement, sheet metal painting, main harness replacement, and point adjustments that are limited to a few older models (P125X/P150X), which are difficult for amateurs.
