Abstract

Being a 'Bus Frog' is every frog's dream job. Frogs hop onto the tourist buses, eagerly awaiting to hear the melodious calls of the Bus Frog. This year, the Otama Pond Bus Company is recruiting a new Bus Frog. The simple test is for the president of the bus company to pick the frog with the most beautiful voice at Otama Pond. Every night, frogs warm up their vocal cords, hoping to be chosen. Kuko, a young frog, is eager to join and sing but is held back by his overprotective mother. In frustration, he exclaims, 'I hate you, Mom!' and runs away...
