Abstract

It's the long-awaited Edo fireworks festival today. While bored waiting for the evening, Ponkichi is asked by his mom to deliver dinner to his dad, a fireworks artisan. However, the sight of him doing so causes a commotion throughout the town! Set against the backdrop of Edo townscapes and the stunning fireworks lighting up the night sky, this is Chisato Tashiro's first Japanese-style picture book.
