Abstract

There are many origami works that children can enjoy pretending to play! There are many motifs that can be folded and played with, such as animals and flowers, as well as vegetables, fruits, cakes, dinosaurs, furniture, and bags. It is full of works that can expand the range of communication between parents and children at nursery schools, kindergartens, and elementary schools. Playing at home / Playing at home / Playing with friends / Playing with clothes / Playing with pets / Playing with bars / Playing with cafes / Playing with fruits and more. We also explain how to fold with photos so that even small children can easily understand. We have included photos to make it easier to understand even slightly difficult processes from different angles.

Author’s Information

Origami creator/Japan Origami Association member, lecturer, member of the British Origami Association, member of the Hungarian Origami Association, member of the Dutch Origami Association Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from Seijo University Junior College Department of Liberal Arts. Since 1998, he has been teaching origami classes at kindergartens, elementary schools, art schools, libraries, etc. in Sydney, Australia.
He introduced Japanese culture as an origami artist at the NSW Art Gallery and on ABC TV, contributing to the spread of origami. After returning to Japan in 2005, he continues to teach original origami techniques throughout Japan and overseas.
Books include ``Let's make origami for girls together with parents and children'' (Seibidoshuppan), ``Cute Animal Origami'' (Nagaoka Shoten), and ``First Origami Play for 1-, 2-, and 3-year-olds'' (Child Publishing).
