Abstract

When Nonta's family welcomes five new babies, Nonta becomes a big brother. However, his mother is now so busy caring for the babies that she can't play with him like before. Even though he's happy about the new siblings, he can't help but feel a bit lonely. Then one day, his mother asks Nonta to take the babies for a walk. 'That's it. I'll just leave the babies somewhere. Then she'll only have me to focus on...' With this thought, Nonta sets out on a walk with the babies. Children often feel a pang of loneliness when new siblings are born. The desire to monopolize a parent's affection might linger even as adults. Still, playing and quarreling with siblings strengthen the bond between them. This book, penned by Yoko Ono, a former kindergarten teacher, captures these emotions and experiences. Don't miss out on seeing Nonta's transformation into a responsible big brother!
