Abstract

Just five months after their wedding, the couple, Mr. Kiyoshi Higuchi and Mrs. Mitsuyo, found themselves in Papua New Guinea, located directly under the equator. They were dispatched to improve the sanitation conditions of a village deep in the jungle. In a village without water or electricity, they built toilets and installed rainwater tanks. Beyond language and cultural barriers, beautiful bonds of friendship formed around the couple. This non-fiction encourages children to look out into the world and cherish their dreams.
