Abstract

An Arithmetic Reading series to cultivate the power of thinking. Implements “enjoyment of arithmetic activities”, a stated educational goal in the National Math Curriculum. Topics are chosen in order to increase children’s intellectual curiosity. Richly illustrated diagrams enhance the power of understanding. Many different kinds of problems are included to change preconceptions about arithmetic.
