Akihiro Miwa
Born in Nagasaki City in 1935, Miwa is a multi-talented artist. He made his singing debut at the age of 16, and his songs "Meke Meke" in 1957 and "Yoitomake no Uta" in 1966 were major hits. As an actor, he joined Shuji Terayama's "Tenjo Sajiki Theater Experiment Lab", and has since played numerous roles, receiving the Yomiuri Theater Award for Excellence in 1997. He has also participated in animated films directed by Hayao Miyazaki as a voice actor, and appears regularly on TV programs. As a writer, he has authored numerous best-sellers, starting with his autobiography "Resume of Purple". He has appeared on NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" for four consecutive years from 2012 and continues to be active in many fields.
