Abstract

A youth group drama set in a middle school and depicting a boy and his friends. The troubles and thoughts that you can sympathize with are woven through 7 chapters and 8 main characters. Rikka is alone after fighting with her best friend; Toranosuke is tired of having a biased image due to his androgynous appearance and hobby of baking; Kaho is confused by love advice from his junior; and he has two friends and a prank. Aoi makes a plan, Masaki worries about her younger sister who is not going to school, Usa is charismatic yet troubled, and Ryosuke talks about his feelings to the school nurse, Ms. Sumi. A story that deeply questions the meaning and possibilities of being close to someone.

Born in 1991. Grew up in Kamakura City. Started creating children's literature in earnest in 2011. Debuted with the work ``That Girl's Secret'' (renamed ``Hello My Friend''), which won the 2nd Froebel-Kan Monogatari Newcomer's Award. In 2020, he won the 49th Children's Literature Newcomer Award for the same work. In 2022, he won the first Kakegawa Literary Award selected by high school students for ``Ribon-chan.'' Other works include ``Candle'' (all at Froebel-kan). /Illustrator/manga artist. He is active in a wide range of activities, mainly drawing and illustrating comics and books. Major works include ``Room 107 Communication'', ``Light and Window'' (both published by Reid Publishing), ``Futari no Kazamachi'' (Futabasha), and ``10 Things I Want to Talk About with You at Night Alone'' (Daiwa Shobo).
