Abstract

Kumi-chan, a girl who is crazy about video games, found herself in trouble when her eyes turned red!
Let's enjoy learning how the eyes work, guided by Kuro, the chatty black cat.

Explains to children in an easy-to-understand manner the importance of "playing outside", as well as "posture'' and "time" that they need to be aware of when looking at something nearby.
This is a picture book fosters attitudes towards taking care of their eyes.

Nanami Sumimoto: Illustrator and picture book author. After working as a designer, established the design and illustration office "Spice". Member of The Japan Children’s Book Artists Society (JCBAS).
Mainly provide illustrations for books and magazines for infants and children.
She drew pictures for books include "SURUSURU SURURIN UNCHI WO DASUZO (I'll do a poo easy and smooth!)'' and "WAKU-WAKU! TANOSHII MAINICHI NO TSUKURI-KATA (feeling good! how to make every day exciting)'' (Shonen Shashin Shimbunsha), ``OTETSUDAI NO EHON'', ``OMOIYARI NO EHON'' (Kin no Hoshi-sha), etc. Her picture book work is ``Silver-kun the Spider'' (Ehonjuku Shuppan).

Tae Igarashi: An assistant Professor, for career advancement Lecturer, of Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Medical and Dental Sciences, Cognitive and Behavioral Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
Graduated from Kanazawa University School of Medicine in 2004.
Joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2009,
and served as Director of Ophthalmology at Kawaguchi City Medical Center,
and then Special Affairs Staff as a Retinal Fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, the teaching hospital of Harvard University, USA, before assuming her current position in 2019.
