Abstract

The appeal of unit origami is that you can fold parts of the same shape and then assemble and fix them together as a three-dimensional piece of origami without using thread or glue. The excitement and sense of accomplishment you feel when you put the parts together to create a beautiful work of art is exceptional.
It is not only a fine workout for the fingertips, but also a good training for grasping space, trying to understand diagrams, and concentrating on the completion of the work.
This book features all-color, concise and three-dimensional diagrams that are easy to understand and make it very easy to visualize how to fold the parts as well as how to combine them. The book also includes photographic cutouts to explain the parts that are easily lost.
The book is structured in a way that makes it easy to understand the basics of how to assemble the pieces, and yet it is full of beautifully finished pieces, making it "easy for anyone to try".
