Abstract

Zomia is a self-governing space with its own culture, society, and ecological environment, located in a mountainous area stretching from the Himalayas to Southeast Asia and China.
This book considers the Shikoku Mountains as one of these Zomia spaces.
Researchers from multiple fields will share the fun of looking at the region from multiple perspectives from a fusion of humanities and sciences.
