Abstract

Recent studies have shown that periodontal disease (gingivalis) causes Alzheimer's disease, and in 2021, clinical trials will be conducted on gingipain inhibitors, which inhibit the development of periodontal disease, and the approach of preventing dementia from the perspective of periodontal disease is attracting particular attention. This book is a comprehensive overview of the relationship between periodontal disease bacteria and dementia.
This book provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the unknown relationship between periodontal disease and dementia based on the latest research. It also explains why periodontal disease causes dementia, what kind of disease it is, and what kind of oral care and lifestyle improvements can be made to prevent the onset of dementia.

Author’s Information

Director of Fukuda Dental Clinic. Doctor of Medicine. Studied under Yasuhiro Hasuda, then director of the Nutritional Science Institute, and Mitsuo Koda, former president of the Japan Society of Integrative Medicine. In 1993, he opened the Fukuda Dental Clinic.
