Abstract
"Spirited Away," "NARUTO," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Persona"... The origins of these movies, comics, and games lie here! This book can be enjoyed like a character book.
Even living in Japan, people might be surprisingly unfamiliar with Japanese mythology. You may have heard of the underworld, the heavenly rock cave, the eight-headed serpent, or the white rabbit of Inaba. These myths are all part of the "Kojiki," the oldest chronicle of Japan, and they form a connected story. Reading the original text might seem daunting, but this book translates it into modern language, making it easy to understand. It is filled with charts, photos, and beautiful illustrations, providing humanized episodes of the gods. Once you delve into the whimsical stories of the myriad gods, you’ll be drawn into the deep, captivating world of Japanese mythology.
