High school teacher Akira Sunaga wakes up in a dimly lit basement. His memories are fragmented, and he understands nothing of his situation.There, he finds a sinister message: "There is an 'Ogre' among you..."The basement contains five other locked rooms, each holding a woman chained by shackles: two seemingly pure high school girls, a 26-year-old NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), a middle school girl with a knowing gaze, and an enigmatic beauty.
No one can explain the situation, yet everyone seems to be concealing something, and no one can be trusted. Furthermore, inexplicable and illogical phenomena begin to occur one after another. Sunaga resolves to escape this prison. The only thing that truly troubles him is the message, and the terrifying suspicion that one of the six people, including himself, might be the true 'Ogre.'

While holding a full-time job, the author self-published the e-book There Is an Ogre Among You on Amazon at the end of 2012. The book garnered high praise and positive reviews on various online book review sites, including the e-publishing information site "Tsundoku Sokuhō," and the author is now attracting attention as an emerging writer of the new generation.
