Abstract

To earn a living, college student Tatsuru Yuukino starts working a high-paying late-night part-time job at a convenience store. However, even though it's her first day at work, her senior colleague Funabashi leaves early, and she suddenly finds herself alone all night. A series of strange events befall her. A customer gives her cryptic warnings. An automatic door that keeps opening and closing by itself, perhaps due to a malfunction. Then she receives a mysterious videotape addressed to her. The sender of the tape is unknown, and when she plays it, all she sees is darkness. After that, strange troubles continue to occur every night, and eventually a videotape from an unknown sender is even sent to her home... This book includes five stories in total: "The Convenience Store," which follows the strange happenings that keep happening at a strange convenience store, as well as "The Closing Shift," "Night Security," "The Kidnap," and "Parasocial"!
